A last shot from Courchevel
La Saulire from Verdons, where we had a last on-slope beer, midday Saturday
Final bulletin from Courchevel. Glorious morning and partly cloudy afternoon as usual. This is the first day of the last week of the season here. Very weird to ski around with half the lifts closed; some parts of the mountain are deserted. Judging by the unprecedented number of picnics being had on the slopes, most of the people here are day visitors. Meanwhile, the Cap Horn restaurant has closed, along with quite a few others.
Now looking forward to the upcoming 12-hour coach ride to Calais, in the absence of flights.
