Goodbye to rental boot liners

Hiring a pair of ski boots is fine, except the fact that hundreds of feet have sweated in those liners. Yuk. But now you can banish the nasty niff, with a pair of personal liners that you can fit to any boot.

Skiset have found the solution: the Ski Slipper hygienic alternative to standard rental options, and an economical alternative to forking out for a pair of ski boots if you’re used to renting (or a beginner).

The heat mouldable ski boot liner is available for purchase from Skiset rental locations around Europe and can be inserted into any rented ski boot shell. It was designed by Salomon and is available in men and women’s models, plus variable sizes that are compatible with ski boot sizing. The body of the liner is made of high quality, durable, heat retaining materials including a padded synthetic wool upper and reinforced shin and calf panels. And it sculpts around your foot, for the personal fit.

What’s more, they are lighter to pack and machine washable.

‘Once customers have purchased the Skiset ski boot liner they can benefit in other ways too. Their rental details are held on the Skiset system so the rental process can be made quicker and more efficient on subsequent visits across our network of shops whether they have booked independently or through a partner tour operator. We are very excited about introducing this unprecedented solution to the skiing community – a solution for beginners and regular skiers alike,’ says the Skiset director.

For the 2010/11 season the Ski Slipper will be available at most Skiset rental locations in France and selected resorts in Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Andorra.
