Salomon has the solution: the ski helmet that you simply pump up for the perfect fit and better protection.

The new Custom Air Helmet features an adaptable pressure system, with air pockets that mould to your head shape at the press of a button.  As you pump, air fills the pockets inside the helmet to create a precise fit; there’s a release valve on the other side for easy adjustment.

The concept originated in California among sports’ trauma specialists looking at ways to better prevent serious head injury; it’s basically similar to the air-bag system.
