Fine food, fine price ...

Remember the price of a beer in ...? If you do – or if you remember all sorts of prices from your travels – please help us update our unique cost comparison guide.
In 2009 Where to Ski and Snowboard conducted the biggest ever survey of resort bar and restaurant prices. With readers’ help we were able to research and define a Resort Price Index for most of the resorts featured in our guidebook and on this site. The feedback from readers on the results has been excellent, so we are updating the survey for 2010 and hopefully covering the remaining resorts that have no RPI at present.

We have listed below resorts for which we would especially welcome price data; we have included some regions too, in case anyone has been to resorts covered in those chapters. But we welcome data on any resort, so please don’t be put off if your resort isn’t listed. We are particularly keen to establish what effect (if any) last summer’s cut in French VAT on meals is having – so information from all French resorts is of special interest.

If you are going away shortly, please do hold onto your receipts, or photograph or jot down food and drink prices to help us maintain the best resort price survey in the skiing universe – and help you to compare costs for next winter’s holiday.
