Valmorel before the February holidays [Rose C]
With the school holidays in full swing this week, things are getting busier on the slopes. But with recent fresh snow and cold temperatures, the pistes are generally in great shape. It’s a little hazier, with more cloud, in parts of the French Alps today but dry.
Here’s blogger Rose’s update from Valmorel (15/02/10)
“After another lovely sunny (but cold) weekend the pistes here in Valmorel are still in excellent condition. It is obviously much busier than it has been and we had to queue for all of four minutes to get on the Madeleine chair today (for some reason the Grande Combe chair which duplicates the Madeleine has been out of service all season) but we still managed to have a good tour of the pistes. Splendid in the sun but freeze-your-face-off if you do anything at speed. Joy is unconfined at two French gold medals too. ”
