The editor asked for reviews of the Ski Juwel area; I have tried to oblige but keep getting error messages when I attempt to post. It says something about the URL length - whatever that means!

I’m sure my words of great wisdom would be appreciated, but the technicals are beating me! Help!

Suggest Ski Outfits

Hey friends, this is the first time being here to celebrate this Easter. This is a chance for me to have a ski over here… Feeling very enthusiasm on skiing….But though this is the first time stepping it,...I would like to know about some outfits for women and the place where i can buy. Can anyone suggest Ski outfits and the best outfit shop for me please…..........???

Tignes

I was just looking for a review of Tignes on the web site and cannot find it! I can find Taos and all it 12 lifts, the 18 lifts of Telluride, and a resort called The Canyons which I haven’t heard of before, (so I did learn something new) but not the quite large resort of Tignes.

IMHO Tignes is probably the best resort in the world, but it doesn’t get a mention on the website. Why?

The shortlist builder on the old site was great. The comments on the lower right of the home page say “coming soon.” Any news on this? I’d love to plug in fast lifts and snow; mega extent is not important to me . . .

Les Arc Lift Pass Options / Ski A La Carte

We are family of 3, two adults one child (7) and are going to Les Arc 21 dec for 9 days (yipee).
We plan to head over to LA Plagne for a look see (never having been before).

We are not a family of four so don’t get the family discount :-(
The discover list pass option is only 6 or 8 days.

We are also considering a trip to Val/Tignes whilst we are there - planing to drive (is this madness?)

Has anyone tried the new Ski A LA CARTE pass thingy?

What are our best pass options?

Butchers in Les Arc

Sadley the Spar in Arc 1600 has been taken over and it is now a Sherpa. As part of the changes, the lovely butchers counter has gone and is replaced by small selection of prepacked meats. On some days this was a very small selection of chicken fillets. I suppose this just increases the pressure to jump on the funicular and visit the Aldi in Bourg.

Just managed to buy some Armada JJ Signature Skis for £430 from LD Mountain Centre, bloody good price for skis which are £500 elsewhere… Used a discount code ICE20 or ICE21 maybe worth a look if anyone else is after skis?

Snowing down to 1650m in Murren

This weekend it snowed down to 1650m to Mürren in Switzerland so George the mascot of the Eiger Hotel popped out to see it.

What are the most reliable snow reports and snow forecast sites

I’m going skiing on 10th March, but leaving it late so that i can just go where the best snow is. However I find differing reports and forecasts on virtually every site I check. Are there any sites which are totally reliable? I understand that forecasts can be wrong but surely the current conditions should be accurate?

I’m interested in Europe and Scandanavia
