Here I’m putting back on the record another of my (previous incarnation’s) old observations. (SPAM ISSUES in the Site Display Problems section explains.) The wording may be slightly different but the gist of my remarks is the same.

Yes, someone must pay for this site and that means accepting ads. I wish dynamic ads - those that are little movies - would play through once then stop. (Allow them to play again if clicked on). Constant re-cycling is distracting and makes me wonder how much it is slowing down my computer, both of which make me hate the advertiser.

Even better, on returning to a previously viewed page (home page for example), the ad should remember that I’ve been here before and have already seen it.
