I thought it might be worth posting a quick note to draw attention to the rather low-profile announcement towards the top of the page about temporary closure of the forum - and to explain a bit about what is going on.
We are in the process of building a new site which we hope will give us a lot more flexibility in how we present news, features and resort information in the future. We’ve got all of that stuff loaded into the database behind the new site, but the forum presents special challenges because of course we have no control over the flow of content into it. So we’ve taken the view that the best thing to do is shut it down for a couple of day while we shift the data and make sure all is working OK.
We hope you’ll like the new site, and the new forum, and look forward to hearing from our regular visitors once we’re up and running again, hopefully early in October. If all goes according to plan, all the threads you can see here will be replicated on the new site.
