I would like to attract the attention of members of the forum on unnecessary delay in airport due to security check up .I would like to Is it necessary to detain the passengers for the security checkup?what majors could we take to avoid all this ?

Hi Petrecia, are there new delays then with security that have only just come in, I am skiing next week with flights to Turin and would appreciate any new info you have. Surely safety is paramount and Ive got to say I think most people do appreciate this after all the problems with air travel all over the world since 911. Always arrive at you departure airport with plenty of time and its far less stressful. Being late is a nightmare though and should be avoided at all costs.

Another lesson is always follow the rules, I travelled with a friend last year who placed all his liquids in a clear plastic bag and no item was more than 100ml, fine so far you would think, he then put the bag into his hand luggage with ski boots and all the rest of his gear. Now this bag must have took hours to pack and how he kept to the 10kg limit I’ll never know. Problem was that the machine the bag went through picked up the liquids and he had to then have all his bag searched and worst still, re pack it as quick as he could to catch the flight, he missed breakfast at the airport and was nearly late for the plane.

Hardly worth it, so to save all the stress just read the rules.

Don thanks for the sharing the thought i completely agree with you but in some airports due to less efficient officers the passengers has to bare the pane of waiting .

Funding should not be a excuse for taking step for passengers safety and convenience i believe all the countries prime concern is safety of there citizen .

But after the recession the economy has revived and the smaller airports are also making good money and all the things won’t change over night they should start taking initiative.
