Another lesson is always follow the rules, I travelled with a friend last year who placed all his liquids in a clear plastic bag and no item was more than 100ml, fine so far you would think, he then put the bag into his hand luggage with ski boots and all the rest of his gear. Now this bag must have took hours to pack and how he kept to the 10kg limit I’ll never know. Problem was that the machine the bag went through picked up the liquids and he had to then have all his bag searched and worst still, re pack it as quick as he could to catch the flight, he missed breakfast at the airport and was nearly late for the plane.
Hardly worth it, so to save all the stress just read the rules.
