Hi,

Currently starting to think about a week away in Ischgl this upcoming March and was hoping to seek some advice from you fine folks on here. Is anybody aware of any good apartments to be had for the independent traveller? Any good websites for independent travel? Any advice at all welcomed.

Thanks folks

Hi Ryan

Ischgl’s own website has a good range of apartments and private rooms that you can book through the TO. Also Skiline have a few.

But the resort is mostly a hotel or guesthouse place - so, it’s worth considering these too.  A good tip though: check the location very carefully, because there are some hefty treks to the lifts otherwise.

As Richard says, Galtur and Kappl have cheaper options - but few apartments though really. Again, worth checking the guest houses here as lodging is cheaper than in Ischgl itself - but they are very quiet at night. Still, taxis are good value if a few of you going. If you do base yourself in Ischgl, these two are worth a day or half day visit for a change of scene and quieter slopes.

Great resort though - do go and report back!

thanks very much for the replies folks, much appreciated
the site does offer quite a bit, thanks for that - we are also looking at package deals - about £700 for March, 4*, could be decent

Total ski’s new chalet hotel might be worth considering too - the first of its kind in the resort, and with prices including fully catered.
