I am looking to book a trip to Westendorf this winter but notice that the village gondola and nursery slops appear to be seperated. Is it possible to use the gondola (Alpenrose I believe) and ski back to the nursery slopes or indeed use the nursery slope lifts to ski to the bottom of the gondola? If not how long is the walk between them?

Any accomodation recommendations? We are undecided between the Schermer and Pension Christoph (complete opposites I know in terms of the type of accomodation, but both look attractive.

Thanks,

Short answer is yes, provided of course there is snow.
If you stay in the village then likelyhood is that you will be closer to the nursery slopes than the gondola. simply go up to the top of the nursery slope and ski across to the gondola. At the end of the day on the way down cut across tothe right on the final run down to the gondola (through the trees) and this takes you back to the nursery slopes
Have fun Westendorf is a great resort lots of good reds.
