Hey all..
I’m looking to buy some new snowboarding trousers but don’t really want to pay too much. I am 23 years old but I’m quite short so I’m wondering whether I’d be able to get away with buying kids ski wear? Like age 13+ for boys perhaps?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

You could try Decathlon, they do ski pants with an adjustable inside leg, the colours are limited but it may solve the problem!!

Snow and Rock will adjust hems for you, at a price! Not cheapest option I know, but good range and they do good selection for kids/teens. If you’re really strapped for cash there must be someone out there with second hand gear. We pass our kids stuff on to friends.

Thank you both very much for your suggestions.
I’ve asked around already but no-one has any snowboarding trousers that they want to pass on unfortunately. I will check out Decathlon as I hadn’t considered that before. A couple of people have said to try TK Maxx but I can’t imagine them having any decent trousers…

The search continues…!

Dont discount TK MAXX, sorry I think there may be an inadvertant pun there, they do some top brand ski gear at often half the normal price, some times it is the previous seasons gearb but who would know.

Just had a winter brochure arrive from MandM Direct, if you are looking for cheapish gear they have some excellent value ski clothing, and even ski helmets by Trespass for £19.99.  They can be found at: http://www.mandmdirect.com.

Not the greatest range as with many discounters, but some top brand gear that seems very reasonable.

Primark and Matalan are also doing snow gear this Winter. I saw one of the Primark jackets and it looked like it would be fairly toasty. With pants for snowboarding you need to make sure that they are as waterproof as possible - I got some good ones last year in TKMaxx for about £40 and had a dry backside all season!
