I’m a 75 year old woman traveling alone from Geneva to Zermatt by rail. I JUST read on a website that your luggage doesn’t travel with you from the station in the Geneva airport to Zermatt…it may be a couple of days getting to you.  I’m FREAKING!  Is there any way that I can insure that my luggage gets on the same train with me other than taking it on the train physically with me?  I’ve got a pretty big piece of luggage that I would rather not handle; however, I need that luggage to arrive in Zermatt at the same time I do.  Any suggestions?

Thanks, Richard. Based on your information,  I’ve just decided to stop freaking out and begin to enjoy my vacation from frustration waaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of time.  I did find out that in order to have my luggage back to Geneva by the time I need it, I HAVE to send it by train the day before!  I’m all for adventures…have a feeling THIS one is going to be glorious!  Thanks again, best, Barbara

Hi,

You should definitely stop worrying. We’ve used this service many times and our luggage has never failed to arrive within a couple of hours of us. Most hotels in Zermatt collect it for you so you generally find it waiting in your room after dinner. Nothing short of brilliant!
