just returned from long weekend in andermatt. A few comments

piste marking now excellent with fluorescent topped poles, long strips to mark right edge, short the left- easily visible in whiteout.
The chair from the midstation at natschen although old is a detachable quad, and therefore presumably classifiable as “fast”.  Although I agree english is less widely spoken than elsewhere the ski shops Meyers sport haus and Alpinasport spoke perfect english (and were friendly and helpful) and the hotel Sonne staff also speak good english.
