Most resort shops need you to leave ski’s/boards for a day which is annoying. Can the book indicate which can offer overnight servicing?

That would be a good idea - many of our resort reporters mention hire / servicing shops they have used, and it would be useful to put together some sort of list / survey for future reference. There are some very good value servicing places out there: Precision Sport in Val d’Isere comes to mind (our equipment was waxed and edged overnight) and the Intersport shop in Alpe d’Huez was pretty good too. Also, it could be worth mentioning the places where readers have received good / poor hire equipment.

Am surprised at you saying that you had to leave equipment for a day.

I have never had a problem getting stuff done overnight in a range of resorts.
