I’m looking for tips on a good shop to buy ski touring boots from. Idealy I’d like to demo a pair or 2 first, so it needs to be shops in a ski resort rather than the UK:-)

I know there’s a pretty good place on the main road in Argentiere (might be ChamEx???), but are there any others?

I have a few days skiing planned in late Jan, but no firm plans (other than flying in to Geneva and ending up in Verbier at some point), so I’d like to get a short list of places, then my plan is to go where the snow is and try and pick up some new boots along the way. I.e. if there’s good snow in Cham then I’ll demo/buy my boots there, but I’m open to other ideas too.

hi am not sure where to tell you to go in europe, but back in the UK if you look on the internet on the Two Seasons website there should be a place within stricking distance of where you live and they may be able to help, also there is a shop in Stoney Stratford called The Outdoor Shop whch sells boots and suchlike, but i would imagine places like ellis Bringham,Lillywhites,Snow&Rock would be the best places to contact but the problem as you state is that in the Uk it will be hard to demo a pair, mind you they have equipment shops at the Escape snowdome in Milton Keynes.
