New flights to Innsbruck
BA has announced plans to run a new service to Innsbruck next winter.
The flights will operate five times a week from Gatwick, starting on 5 December 2009. This is welcome news for the airport, and for keen skiers wanting access to a lot of Austrian resorts - perhaps even enjoy a combined ski n’ city break.
The addition of Innsbruck to BA’s schedule is a positive move toward developing its Austrian winter routes - the airline also serves Salzburg. And with the country currently proving excellent value against Switzerland and France, it’s likely to prove a popular choice for British skiers and boarders next winter.
Innsbruck is also a good choice for anyone travelling southwards into Italy and the Dolomite resorts - a relatively quick and easy transfer.
