Norway Prepares For Summer Skiing
Norway is promoting itself as a destination for the growing summer ski market.
The Folgefonna ski resort is boasting that it has the best spring snow for over 10 years which, it is hoped, will set up the resort for a great summer season in June and July. Of course, the big attraction is the prospect of skiing at 11 pm in the (near) midnight sun.
The big concern with Norway, on the other hand, is always the cost. However, a resort spokesman claims that, “The camp is cheap because basic housing is provided in a rural area instead of five star accommodation in a congested/popular ski resort.”
