Andorra’s big festival proving popular

Fancy some of the hippest après-ski going this winter? Then head along to Arinsal in Andorra for the Big Snow Festival, and check out the huge line-up of DJ’s and parties ready to rock the Pyrenees.

The ‘must-do’ snow festival this season is coming to Arinsal in March. And with tickets selling fast, more flights have been laid on to get visitors out to the event.

The Big Snow Festival is a week-long musical festival on the slopes and in the resort. It runs from the 14 to 21 March 2010 and is headlined by the UK’s top DJ acts, including Calvin Harris, Eddie Halliwell, and Pendulum – but there is much more going on too.

Three additional flights will now operate out of Gatwick on 14 March, but you can also fly from Manchester, Birmingham and Belfast to either Toulouse or Barcelona.

Full week packages are now available from £359 (just reduced from £399) and include transfers, 7 nights accommodation and entry to the whole festival. A new three-night break is also possible from £75.

Arinsal is part of the Vallnord region, linked to Pal and a popular ski area for novices or those looking for a relatively low cost holiday. It also has a big freestyle scene. The slopes extend to 2560m and the resort has been investing heavily in improvements to lifts and runs recently. The Big Snow Festival is the first of its kind to take place there, so anyone heading out that way (and wanting to party!) should have a great time.
