Cairngorm offers ski touring ticket

Cairngorm mountain
Keen ski tourers wanting to climb and ski around Cairngorm’s plateau and nearby peaks, but perhaps save their legs for the tougher work higher up, can now get a helping hand up the mountain. The resort is making available a ski mountaineering lift pass, on a trial basis until the end of the season.
The ticket is valid only for use on the day of issue and ski mountaineers will be able to use two draglifts to help them begin their routes. The pass costs £10 and will be punched by Cairngorm lift staff as they use the lower tow. It will then be removed completely at the start of the second tow. And the terms and conditions of the pass mean that ski mountaineers may not include the funicular railway as one of these access lifts.
Ski mountaineering and touring is a popular activity in the Highlands, and Cairngorm particularly suited to the sport with its broad plateau summits and ridges that hold snow through until June.
