Car hire demand prompts warning

.
Price comparator Carrentals.co.uk is advising anyone needing car hire for a pre-season trip to book early, particularly for specialist vehicles.
Recent heavy snowfalls in the Alps have, according to Carrentals, prompted a higher than usual demand for car hire; hence any associated deals are booking fast. So, prices will rise. Cars are still available but early booking is also advised to secure specialist vehicles such as 4x4’s and estates – popular with families and small groups.
Managing Director of Carrentals.co.uk Gareth Robinson comments: ‘As a lot of the budget airlines continue to offer bargain flights to top ski resorts, good powder and skiing conditions are tempting skiers to take more than one ski trip this year, with slopes already having opened in Austria. So, we have experienced higher than usual demand for car hire.’
Current ski deals include rental from GBP17 per day at Milan Bergamo Airport and from GBP25 per day at Geneva Airport (both based on early December rates).
Carrentals.co.uk compares prices for car hire brands including Alamo, Auto Europe, Budget, Holiday Autos and Sixt – for Europe and North America.
