Davos to upgrade funicular

Parsennbahn, Davos
One of Davos’ old funicular railways is to receive an upgrade for next season.
The upper section of the Parsennbahn, which carries visitors from the Höhenweg mid-station on Parsenn to the Weissfluhjoch will be replaced with a newer model.
The Parsenn funicular is one of the Swiss resort’s oldest lifts, the lower section having been installed in 1931 then extended to climb to the Weissfluhjoch ridge – a distance of 1100m.
Works to update the lift are being carried out through the summer, so this section above Höhenweg is now closed to summer visitors.
