Readers of a leading North American ski magazine have voted Utah’s Deer Valley Resort best in the US, for the fourth time.

Deer Valley first topped the poll in Ski Magazine in 2005/06. And the resort has never dipped below third place in the annual survey, which compiles votes from over 20,000 readers to produce a “Top 60 Resort Guide”.

The survey is well-established, and considered one of the most comprehensive studies in the US industry; as well as the overall list of the best resorts, readers vote in a number of individual categories too. Deer Valley also scored highly for lifts, weather and family programmes; and tops for service, grooming, lodging and dining.

In 2009 Where to Ski and Snowboard also awarded Deer Valley a title: as the best resort for service to expert skiers. The was given for the resort’s excellent black-diamond mountain tours, introducing experts to the best steeps and deeps in the ski area.
