Give us a kiss ...
It’s all in the name of festive fun, but skiers and boarders heading for Manchester’s Chill Factore are being encouraged to get smoochy under the mistletoe!
During the festive season, the indoor snow centre has a giant piece of mistletoe hung over the slope. The idea is that couples pause for a quick kiss under the mistletoe before descending to the end of the run.
Rachel and Rob Jones from North Wales were the first couple to have a quick smooch on the snow; both are snowboarders coming to the centre for a bit of practise on the 180m real snow slope. They have recently learnt the sport and have been enjoying their trips to Chill Factore.
Rachel said, “It’s great to see Chill Factore embracing the festivities with such a sense of humour. It’s such a great community down here, I’m sure one or two will be looking forward to sneaking a kiss on the slopes and mistletoe gives them an excuse to do it. Who said romance was dead, this is great fun. It’s definitely the most unusual place we have ever kissed!”
Chill Factore’s Chief Executive Morwenna Angove, said, “At Christmas time everyone’s on the look out for a little bit of mistletoe for a kiss, especially at places like Chill Factore where people may have an eye on someone they like but not quite had the confidence to make the first move. We’re sure this will help to get things started.”
No doubt there will be some of that going on out in the Alps this Christmas too. Got any similar stories? Do tell ...
