New activity card for Zell-Kaprun

The Kitzsteinhorn slopes are also open in summer
Austria’s Zell am See and Kaprun have introduced a new summer activity card for guests, which offers free entrance to lots of leisure attractions that you could combine with a summer ski trip.
One of the key attractions of the new adventure card is the unlimited use of the lifts up to the Alpincenter, on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The summer ski tows themselves are not included, so you’ll need to pay to put in some morning turns. But there are other family attractions up on the slopes to enjoy too, such as the Ice Arena and snow beach. The card also covers a dozen or so other activities in the region, including entrance to Zell’s three lidos, indoor pool and boat trips on the lake.
The Zell-am-See-Kaprun card will eventually include the glacier’s summit Gipfelbahn lift too, but apart from a few weeks in August it will be closed this summer. The lift company is rebuilding the top station at 3030m in time for next winter, so summer opening is disrupted. The Kitzsteinhorn, though, is a reliably snow-sure venue to catch some summer skiing if you’re in the area or visiting from Salzburg.
The new card is free to all guests staying in participating hotels and guest houses.
