New run for Les Gets

Gentle slopes in Les Gets
Les Gets in France’s Portes du Soleil ski area will have a new run to cruise down next winter and even better beginner slopes.
The resort has announced that a new blue piste is being cut to improve the return from the Chavannes sector (Rosta and Ranfoilly), finishing in the centre of the resort. The Mouille Ronde piste will go from the bottom of the Nauchets fast chairlift on Ranfoilly and wind its way back to the valley, following a line through the forest. This will give intermediates an alternative home run.
The resort has also been improving facilities for beginners recently; the newish ‘Mappys’ area, close to the children’s area at Grand Cry Territory, now features four gentle slopes served by free moving carpets. The idea has been to provide a quiet, separate learning area - away from the main pistes, in a larger and more snow-sure location up the mountain.
Back in resort… and if you are looking for family accommodation in Les Gets, the Alpina Lodge has built a new chalet, in addition to the main hotel; it sleeps 20 in five suites and includes a playroom, gym and swimming pool.
