Ski train tickets go on sale today
Train tickets to the Swiss and French Alps have gone on sale today.
Services to both countries leave every Saturday from 22 December to 13 April, with prices starting at £149 return to France, and £189 return to Switzerland.
The special Eurostar service to Switzerland is new for this year, leaving London St Pancras at 06:57, stopping at Ashford (07:25) and Lille (09:26) where passengers cross the platform to change trains for Aigle (stopping at 15:47), Martigny (16:13), Visp (16:57) and Brig (17:08).
The Eurostar ski train to France leaves London on Friday nights at 19:31, arriving in the Alps by 06:00 on Saturday morning. Or, if you prefer a more civilised journey, the Saturday train leaves London St Pancras as 10:00 and Ashford at 10:47, arriving in Moûtiers at 18:12, Aime-le-Plagne at 18:30 and Bourg-St-Maurice at 18:51.
