Since we filed our weekly snow overview, the snow has been falling in bucket loads across the Alps. Courchevel now reports 165cm on the mountain, up by 60cm on yesterday’s total. High winds continue to batter the ridges at about 50km/hr and only 16 of the 53 local lifts are open on Friday. This is a similar story for other resorts in the area. Central and southern parts of Switzerland have also received good snowfalls, as has Italy’s Aosta Valley.
Pictures from France, Switzerland and western Italy need no words really … We’ll bring you up to date over the weekend with the latest totals and where.
