Summer skiing arrives

Late June is typically the time when the high resorts of the Alps re-open their glacier areas for summer skiing. The number of resorts that offer summer skiing is slowly diminishing; some of those that no longer do include Pitztal, Alpe d’Huez, La Plagne and Val Thorens. However, there are still plenty of options. Here is a quick run-down:
