SWISS increase Geneva flights

Switzerland’s national airline has added six more daily services to Geneva.
The new flights will begin 10 January 2010, operating out of London Heathrow.
SWISS International already offers daily flights from Heathrow, London City and Manchester to Geneva. And flights are also available to Zurich. Country manager for the UK and Ireland, Gregor Koncilja, said: ‘SWISS has added these flights in response to customer demand. The new service will increase the number of daily flights to Switzerland to 33.’
The big attraction for winter travellers though, is that the airline does not impose ski or board carriage charges.
But while one airline strengthens its Swiss ties, another is cutting back: Ryanair is closing all six of its flights into Basel because of high airport charges.
