Reporting by mail?
…Our guidelines can help
Ideally, of course, we would prefer you to use our online report form – which is already structured with sections matching the book’s chapters. But if you don’t like that idea, our quick guide highlights the kind of information of most value to us.

Feedback by email.
When reporting on the general characteristics of the resort, as far as possible please adopt the structure of our resort chapters:
- Plus points / Minus points
- Village charm – how does it look, feel to you
- Village convenience – this relates to proximity of lodgings in general, and the centre, to the main lifts. Not really resort to airport etc.
- Scenery
- Extent of the slopes
- Fast lifts – or not
- Queues
- Snow reliability
- Terrain parks
- Snowboarding – how do the slopes & lifts suit boarders? Maybe lots of flats, drags, no parks, little off-piste etc
- Experts – comments on the skiing for this level
- Intermediates – as above
- Beginners – as above, including any notable points such as your use of free lifts / special passes etc
- Cross-country – if applicable to your trip
- Mountain restaurants
- Schools and guides
- Family suitability – facilities for children on- and off the slopes, child friendly, creche or daycare choice etc
- Staying there (hotels, chalets, apartments – your experience / comments)
- Eating out
- Aprés-ski / nightlife
- Off the slopes – suitability of the resort aimed at non-skiers
Extra tips
We are very keen to get feedback on individual businesses in the resort, too – mountain restaurants, village bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, chalets, ski schools, nurseries, rental shops. Please make clear what establishment you are describing; there is normally more than one ski school in a resort; mountain restaurants can be identified by their location if you are unsure of the name (eg “at the bottom of the Loze draglift”)
Hotels, mountain restaurants, bars: please try and give the name and location wherever possible (EG in Arcs 1600)
Ski schools: it would be helpful to have a name and (where it applies) the resort area / village (EG ESF in Montchavin)
Verdicts on runs, crowds: try to relate specifically – are they under-classified, hardly used, notably difficult or remote, particularly crowded?
