Summary
Copper’s slopes are some of Colorado’s best, and the modern, purpose-built village has become quite a pleasant small resort – great for an outing from another Colorado resort, or as a base if the budget is tight. The slopes spread across two main peaks, Union and Copper, with an attractive mix of open and wooded areas. There is lots of expert terrain in the upper bowls, some seriously steep. Novices will find excellent nursery slopes too. And queues are rare outside the peak holidays.
News – this season 2012/13
2012/13 will be the resort’s 40th season. The Alpine Rush Zip Line opened in the summer and will open throughout the ski season.

A new fast quad replaced the High Point double chair from Union Creek, starting from a point slightly eastwards of the former lift.

Snowmaking was improved to allow early season coverage. More parking opened at the base.
