Summary
Keystone is a sprawling condo-dominated resort below three varied mountains; the nearest thing to a proper village is the River Run development, which is handy for the modern gondola. But evenings are generally quiet. We prefer to stay elsewhere and make day trips to the ski area. The lift pass also covers Breckenridge, for example. But Keystone’s slopes are varied, including ungroomed steep bowls, forest glades and cat skiing. And there’s a beautifully groomed network of treelined blues and greens.
