    News – 2016/17

Most of the news is from the plateau of Samoêns 1600. The short Demoiselles chair lift will be replaced by a six-pack; a new blue piste, Ecureuil, will open; a Club Med ‘village’ is being built, but will not open until December 2017. In Samoêns itself a third CGH residence, Alexane, is also expected to open next season.

    News – 2015/16

Chalets de Laÿssia, a new CGH residence, opened in the centre of the village, with the usual pool and spa. A new hockey-size ice rink (with spectator seating) opened, plus a bowling alley.

Samoëns is the cutest of lower, traditional village bases sharing the impressive Grand Massif area with high, purpose-built Flaine; it’s not the most convenient for skiing, but its fans are willing to forgive that.
