Summary

Villars is popular with second-home owners because of its closeness to Geneva airport. For many keen skiers, its low altitude and far from snow-sure slopes will rule it out. But for a varied family holiday it has its attractions.

News – this season 2011/12

A six-pack replaced the two-seat chair to Petit Chamossaire. Two runs were dedicated to ‘slow skiing’, one at Bretaye and the other on Les Chaux above Gryon. There’s a new boadercross course. And the Alpe Fleurie restaurant in the resort reopened with a new look and menu.

News – last season

Snow-guns now cover the lower slopes from Col de Soud to the resort, and the link with Gryon via La Rasse.
A new mountain hut (The Etable) opened on the Sodoleuvre slope above Gryon.
