Summary
Brixen im Thale has a great central location with gondolas into the main SkiWelt area on one side and into Westendorf’s slopes and the link with Kitzbühel on the other. The village is not particularly cute, but it is traditional in style and is pretty quiet now that it is bypassed by the main valley road. The main hotels are near the railway station, a bus ride from the lift station, west of the centre. The local slopes suit confident intermediates best, on both sides of the valley. But altitude is a drawback, with low and sunny slopes on the SkiWelt side.
