Where to Ski And Snowboard -

Review of Cervinia

23rd January 2008 by Art and Jeannie

We skied in Cervinia for the second time this Jan 13th - 20th 2008. Its a great resort for all grades of skiers with huge wide and long pistes mostly blue and red.
We stayed at the Furggen at the top of the campetto chair which was cosy and warm, with pleasant staff and adequate (but not enormous) breakfasts. A bit of a walk up from the village but you can ski down in the morning and at the end of the day, if you dont want to ski down the red run from Plan Torette which was rough and bumpy when we tried it, you can get the campetto chair up from the village and just ski across from there. They provide a minibus (driven by Dangerous Dave) in the evenings and will take you down and bring you back up.
Try the Gran Beca pub for real Italian surroundings. For food, Leno`s above the ice rink do great pizzas and Al Solito Posto just off the main street do good pasta.
