Review of Ste-Foy-Tarentaise

We were so grateful when we found Sainte Foy. It is an amazing picturesque little resort and a perfect place to get away from the larger, crowded and high rise type resorts. All of the pistes converge into one place meaning that if my kids hurtle off down a piste, I am happy in the knowledge they will be waiting for me at the bottom! Its pistes are quite limited, but the fact that you don’t have to queue to get back on them more than makes up for it! My husband also raves about its wealth of accessible off piste and back country which he says very happily “you can get fresh powder days after a fall”. It is quaint and has limited nightlife, but if you want Après ski you can still have it, just not with a million other people! Even in the school holidays it is quiet and on the days that we fancied the hustle and bustle of a bigger resort, Val, Tignes and La Rosiere were only a short drive. We put our children in the Premiere Neige crèche, where the Nannies were so lovely and our kids didn’t want to leave! All in all a fantastic resort if you are looking to get away from it all and have a quiet carefree ski holiday!
