Summary
The slopes of Snowmass are a key part of the attraction of nearby Aspen as a destination. As a base, Snowmass has obvious appeal for families wanting easy cruising on their doorstep; its appeal is starting to broaden as more shops and restaurants open at the new Base Village – but progress is slow.
News – this season 2012/13
The former Silvertree Hotel is being transformed into the Westin Snowmass Resort, due to open in December 2012. At the top of the Elk Camp gondola a new, much bigger restaurant is due to open to replace Café Suzanne.
