News – 2016/17

The Arcellins double chair lift has been replaced by a six-seater starting lower and going higher, giving quicker access to the slopes above Col du Mont Cenis. The Buffa drag at the col has also been removed. A tubing area has been opened high on the mountain at the top of the Solert chair lift. Twice a week there is floodlit skiing at Lanslevillard.

Summary

Val Cenis Vanoise is the fair-sized ski area shared by three quiet, traditional villages in the unspoiled Haute Maurienne valley, on the Italian border south of Val d’Isère. If low prices and a low-key ambience appeal, it may be just the ticket. Last season the resort took a small step upmarket with the opening of its first 4-star hotel.
