Getting excited for the coming ski season? So are Crystal Ski Holidays, who are kicking off their winter campaign with a new video filmed in the Austrian mountains last spring.

Crystal’s “Ski Explorers” are making the most of the mountains in Mayrhofen in the Austrian Tyrol, using the tour operator’s Ski Explorer app to get the latest snow reports, which runs to hit that day and snippets of information like what time the lifts open to which bars are open the longest (yes, we’ve all been there trying to find THAT bit of information out!

The video was filmed in March on the Penken, Ahorn and Hochfügen mountains and features four Crystal employees for living and breathing the values of each character — “Dawn Patrol” (resort manager), “Powder Hound” (resort manager), “Fair Weather Fred” (customer sales advisor) and “Après Animal” (overseas operations and safety manager).

“We’re really excited to launch our new campaign just as the snow starts to fall in some of Europe’s mountains,” said Caroline Child, Crystal Ski head of brand and campaigns.

“For us, winter is all about swapping the unwelcome cold of home for the crisp chill of resort. It’s standing at the top of the mountain feeling like you can see forever. Winter is the kids finishing ski school breathless with delight. It’s your yearly ski trip with friends, just as much fun after 25 years as when you first snow ploughed or caught an edge.”
