Get ski fit with one simple piece of kit

With the ski season looming, it’s time to get fit — you’ll get more out of your holiday and avoid injury. The stability ball is one of the cheapest and most versatile pieces of equipment to help you get fit. For ski fitness it is extra useful as it helps stabilise and strengthen your core muscles and it works on your balance.
Here are some sample exercises (below) that you can incorporate into a ski circuit session either at home or in the gym. Note the ‘balance’ of exercises, working on your front then your back, working your legs and then your arms and working in all three planes of motion. This helps create a postural balance and strength balance in your body.
