Visit Champoluc for a flexible weekend

The Italian ski resort of Champoluc is little known to the Brits
As Champoluc prepares to open next weekend (6 December), resort experts Ski 2 are offering what they believe is the most flexible ski break put together by a UK tour operator.
The Italian resort is little known to Brits, aside from expert skiers hungry for off-piste. Set in the Monterosa ski area, Champoluc retains a friendly, small-scale unspoiled ambience with superb mountain restaurants, views and lovely long runs.
The Ski 2 weekend or short break begins with collection from any flight of your choice. Champoluc is within three hours’ drive of eight different arrival airports — starting with Turin which has a transfer time of 90 minutes, Milan Malpensa (two hours), Milan Linate (three hours), Milan Bergamo (three hours), Geneva (three hours), Genoa (three hours), Chambery (three hours) and Sion (two and a half hours).
Accommodation is arranged in a variety of typically 3* or 4* hotels, on a half-board basis, including vouchers for snack lunches up the mountain (unused vouchers can be used to buy après-ski drinks). Ski 2 staff will pre-arrange lift passes (also included in the holiday price), and clients can use the ski deposit at the bottom of the main lift free of charge. Ski guiding on the first day of your holiday is included, too.
“Ski 2 guests have the option to arrive on any day of the week and to stay for any number of nights in resort giving, what we believe are, the most flexible ski breaks offered by any UK ski tour operator!” says Roger Walker of Ski 2.
A typical four-night break in Champoluc with Ski 2 in January costs from £592pp, based on two adults sharing including all of the above. Flights, insurance and evening meal drinks are extra. Equipment hire is also extra, though kit for children under 11 is free of charge.
