Eurostar Adds More Half-Term Trains

15th July 2005, by Chris Gill

Eurostar has announced that it will add six more trains for the February 2006 half-term rush.

The new trains will provide an extra 4,500 seats, concentrated at the start and end of the week. The Friday night departure arrives early on Saturday at Moutiers, Aime la Plagne and Bourg St Maurice, while the Saturday morning departure arrives late on Saturday afternoon.

Eurostar’s Communications Director, Paul Charles said, “If you want to beat the stress, hassle and chaos usually associated with flying to the French Alps, then take Eurostar’s direct ski trains. Due to extra demand we’re adding thousands more seats this year to help travellers get to the slopes as (easily) as possible.”
