Go skiing at sunrise in Trentino

Eat breakfast in a mountain hut and watch the sun rise over the Dolomites
Lots of ski resorts offer visitors the chance to enjoy first tracks on freshly groomed slopes, ahead of the official lift opening, but an Italian ski area is going one step further. Trentino has launched a new event that allows skiers to head up the mountain before dawn and enjoy the splendour of the Dolomites at first light.
The “Trentino Ski Sunrise” offers skiers the chance to enjoy first tracks on the mountain and breakfast in a mountain hut while watching the sun rise over the mountains. The events will take place across Trentino in ski areas including Val di Fassa, Madonna di Campiglio and smaller areas such as Rovereto Vallagarina and Val di Fiemme. Skiers leave their hotels by 5:30am to be on the mountain by 6am.
The inaugural event is on Friday 6 January in San Martino di Castrozza, with breakfast in the Rifugio Tognola with views of the Pale di San Martino. The last Trentino Ski Sunrise will take place at Val di Sole, with breakfast at the Rifugio Capanna Presena.
