Supermarket chain Aldi has announced its 2013 range of skiwear and accessories for the budget-conscious. The range is part of its Special Buys which will go on sale from 5 December in stores across the UK for a limited time only.

For adults there are salopettes and jackets for men and women, a softshell jacket, ski socks, gloves and thermal underwear at “ great value” prices. The salopettes, for example, are £16.99 in sizes small to large for women, medium to extra large for men. The supermarket is also selling “technical” ski gloves at £4.99 a pair and merino base layers for £19.99 a set.

There is a children’s range, too, with a snowsuit for babies from three months to children of three years, priced £9.99, snow boots for children in sizes 6-2, which are selling for £8.99, thermals and ski jackets and trousers for £14.99.

Aldi is not just selling clothing — it has ventured into accessories, too. Adult ski helmets, tested according to DIN EN IO77/class B, are just £19.99 — the children’s version is £14.99. There are ski goggles and even two-way radios (£24.99) to keep in touch on the slopes an HD action camcorder for a budget-busting £89.99. The latest GoPro Black edition retails at £399.

As part of the Special Buys range, the ski wear will only be available for a very short time — so get in quick!
