Aldi's current range of skiing specialbuys is its biggest yet

The supermarket Aldi is currently running its “skiing specialbuys” collection — offering the biggest selection yet at rock-bottom prices.

The ski specialbuys went on sale last week both online and in stores nationwide, and while a lot of stock is still available, some is now sold out — in line with Aldi’s mantra of “when it’s gone, it’s gone”.

The prices for both outerwear such as jackets and salopettes, as well as accessories including socks, goggles and baselayers, are fairly unbeatable elsewhere on the UK high street. Items are available for both children and adults, with men’s or ladies’ jackets costing £19.99, pants/salopettes just £17.99 — and then long-sleeve base layers £3.99, fleece midlayers £6.99. The children’s range is even better value — ski jackets cost £12.99, snow boots £9.99 and children’s ski socks only £1.99.

While Aldi says its range is top-quality ski gear, it’s unlikely to be the type of technical kit you can use for ski touring, but for basics and first-timers, the prices are bang on and help make skiing a more affordable sport for many more people.
