The Swiss ski resort of Andermatt is introducing flexible pricing for its ski passes

The newly-linked Swiss ski resorts of Andermatt and Sedrun and introducing a new flexible pricing structure to their ski passes for the coming season, allowing skiers access to the resorts’ slopes for as little as CHF37 (about £28.80) per day.

The new booking platform will vary the cost of a lift pass every day, taking into account the day of the week and the booking date, enabling skiers to book ski passes in advance, on weekdays and during low-season at attractive discounts.

SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun, which has launched the booking platform in conjunction with Ticketcorner, says the move is in response to growing pressure on ski resorts in Switzerland to be competitive with the rest of Europe. There are no fixed prices apart rom: ski passes will be available for adults for as little as CHF37, teens and young adults at CHF25, students and senior citizens CHF24 and children CHF13. Families and groups can benefit from an additional 10 per cent discount. For ten days during January (8-12th, 15-19th), a day pass at Andermatt-Sedrun will cost just CHF10.

“Our flexible pricing system is a model which enables guests to influence the price of their own ski passes,” says Franz-Xaver Simmen, from Andermatt-Sedrun Sport AG.

The offers can be booked from 30 October at skiarena.ch or ticketcorner.ch/ski
