Bands announced for Big Snow Festival

19th January 2011, by Chris Gill

Andorra is gearing up for its second Big Snow Festival, a week of fun, music and partying in Arinsal between 13 and 20 March.

If you know your DJ’s from your dance acts, you’ll probably be familiar with the names mentioned here. If you don’t but are heading for Andorra that week, you soon will be.

So here goes festival fans: hip hop enthusiasts can gyrate to the BBC’s sound of 2011 – Wretch 32. The band has just been announced to perform alongside Example, Kissy Sell Out, Camo and Krooked, DJ Fresh and the Radio 1 DJ, among plenty of others.

Wretch 32 is a newbie, set to release his single ‘Traktor’ into the charts this season. Camo and Krooked are more of the ‘rhythm and bass’ set, while Example and Wire DJ set are likened to electro-pop. So, there’s something for most musical dance tastes lined up for Andorra.

Last year proved a big success for the resort, with hundreds of visitors enjoying a sunny mix of spring snow skiing and boarding, followed by a festival atmosphere and cool beats.

If you fancy getting along to the festival, or sending the kids, the Big Snow offers flexible deals and special packages from £399pp. This included the compulsory festival wristband and access to all the fun.
