Baqueira Beret extends its ski season

The Spanish ski resort of Baqueira Beret is to remain open until 12 April
The Spanish ski resort of Baqueira Beret is to extend its season by a week, thanks to huge amounts of snow this winter.
The resort in the Valle de Aran, which this year celebrated its 50th anniversary by adding 21 new pistes, accumulated 8.2m of snow since the beginning of this winter season. It currently has upper depths of more than 4m of snow, which means it can stay open until 12 April, the week after Easter.
Around 69km of pistes will remain open in the Baqueira and Bonaigua zones of the resort, with a day pass price of €35 for adults (currently around £25) and €25 (£18) for children
The Baqueira gondola will be in operation as well as the Cabana, Jorge Jordana, Mirador, Esquiros, Manaud, Teso dera Mina, Bonaigua, Cap del Port and Peulla chairlifts. The beginner conveyor belts in the 1800 level of Baqueira will also be in operation, along with a handful of restaurants and ski shops in Baqueira and Bonaigua.
